In this article, you will learn how to create a Layer 1 Wallet, so you can deposit ETH (L1) and other tokens from your Ethereum wallet into Immutable X (L2).
Creating a Layer-1 (L1) Wallet
To hold tokens or trade on Immutable X, you will need a Layer-1 wallet. Immutable X supports MetaMask and Magic.
Create a wallet using MetaMask
Install MetaMask for your browser at metamask.io.
Follow the steps in the plugin to create a new wallet.
⚠️ Don’t forget to write down your seed phrase! If you lose this, you will lose access to your wallet forever. Neither Immutable X nor MetaMask will be able to restore it for you.
