Can I change my Passport account to be associated with a new email address?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to change the email address associated with your Passport account once it has been set. The email address you use during initial registration is permanent.
Do I need to pay gas fees?
On Immutable zkEVM, gas fees are generally required for transactions, and the cost is typically a few cents worth of IMX, depending on network conditions. However, for transactions within Immutable Passport, all non-spam transactions are fully sponsored by Immutable, so you won’t need to pay any gas fees for these specific actions.
For other transactions outside the Passport system, users must pay their own gas fees. Make sure you have sufficient IMX in your external wallet (like Metamask) to cover any gas costs on Immutable zkEVM.
What can games and marketplaces do if I connect my Passport?
Once you connect your Passport to a game or marketplace, they can:
- View your profile and email address
- Request approval for transactions, such as buying, transferring, crafting, or listing items for sale
However, games and marketplaces cannot initiate or complete transactions without your explicit approval.
I forgot my Google/Apple/Email login credentials. How do I regain access to my Passport account?
If you've forgotten your login credentials, you will need to contact the respective email provider (e.g., Google, Apple) directly to recover access to your account. Once you regain access to your email, you can continue accessing your Passport account.
